So my first plan is to make sure that I have several pairs of either black jeans and or narrow leg trousers that are stretchy and comfortable. My very personal love of embellishment and bling comes into it’s own with a selection of pretty knits and tops. This is the time for glamour and sparkle.
I did go through a phase of always being hot, food and drink exacerbates hot flushes so I had a few miserable Christmas seasons in the past, thank goodness that’s behind me. Now I seem to feel the cold a lot. Oh well never mind. So to deal with potential overheating, think layers.
Relax and Sparkle
Now then, cold ladies first…
I love both of these, the look is relaxed and glamorous and I will be covered up where I need to be. There’s room for my waist to grow a bit over the festivities and nobody would know!
Loving the whole outfit however I particularly want you to look at the sparkly black cardigan by Elena Miro. This would be such a useful item to use over the festive season. With jeans and layered over dresses, it’s so pretty.
So now for all you hot women, look what I’ve found for you.
A lovely lace tunic by Elena Miro with deep arm holes with sleeves that taper to just below your elbow. This is very flattering and comfortable too. I just love the green and so appropriate for Christmas, however it does come in other colours if you prefer.
Marina Rinaldi’s long tunic style blouse is absolutely beautiful. Wear with Marina’s narrow leg bordeaux trousers for a truly lovely Christmas Day outfit.

The Perfect Dress
Where can I find the perfect dress for plus sizes? Well, we have it.
I absolutely love the fit of Marina Rinaldi’s black midi dress because I’m a pear shape. But you know what, I’ve seen apple shaped ladies try this on and it works just fine on them too. I also LOVE the V neck at the back. Designer dressing for plus sizes has never been so good. Shown here sleeveless but it does come with sleeves. With heels and a glittery clutch bag, you can go to the smartest restaurants and parties. It’s an essential dress for curvy girls.
As you all probably know I like to find clothes that work hard and can be dressed up or down. This dress looks fabulous with flat leather boots and a leather jacket thrown over you shoulders. I will also wear it with Elena Miro’s sparkly cardigan to create another look. Some of you will prefer to wear it with opaque tights and a flat ballet pump style shoe. Keep Cosy with Outerwear
Now let’s talk outerwear. For that after lunch walk you will need something warm and cosy.

A wool cashmere mix poncho with a luxurious fur collar seems to me to be a must have item. Good news – it’s one size, Elena Miro are great for knitwear and this is a beauty.

For a more sophisticated evening cover up, I love this, I just love it. Got to have it. The perfect evening cover up. It’s pure drama, darling.
